Starting 7/1, the Rochester Public Library goes Fine-Free for overdue materials

Jul 1, 2024

The Rochester Public Library is excited to announce that starting July 1, 2024, they will no longer charge late fees for overdue materials.

While late fees will no longer be charged, patrons will still be responsible for the replacement cost of items that are lost, damaged, or not returned in 28 days.

All existing fines will be forgiven, but lost item fees will remain. Interlibrary loans will still accrue late fees at $1 per day as they are a courtesy extended to us by other libraries.

For additional information and general inquiries, contact the Rochester Public Library at (603) 332-1428 or visit rpl.lib.nh.us.
