On October 6th at 4:00 pm, the Spaulding High School Volleyball Team will be holding a “Dig Pink” volleyball game to benefit breast cancer. The game will be played at the Spaulding High School gymnasium and community members are encouraged to wear pink to show their support.
There will be a bake sale and a 50/50 raffle. Funds raised will be donated to a member of the community currently battling breast cancer. In addition to Dig Pink, the team will be accepting 13-gallon trash bags of clothing to benefit the Spaulding High School volleyball program and Epilepsy Foundation.
The team is seeking the following donations:
- Clothing – Tops and t-shirts, pants, jeans and shorts, ties and scarves, dresses and gowns, costumes and dress-up clothes, shoes/boots, flip flops and slippers, pocketbooks, backpacks, duffle bags, skirts, suits, sweaters, vests, pajamas, socks, tights, belts, and uniforms.
- Outerwear – Coats/jackets/blazers, ski pants, mittens/gloves, hats/scarves, rain gear, bathing suits. Other items: yarn/fabric/scraps, small throw rugs, towels/wash cloths, shower curtains, bathmats, drapes/curtains, sheets/pillowcases, tablecloths, cloth napkins, blankets, quilts/comforters/duvet.
