As part of the “Thank a Rochester Cop” committee’s efforts during September, local art students recently volunteered their time to paint windows, showing appreciation for the Rochester Police Department.
Twenty-two Spaulding High School art students spent a full day painting and decorating storefront windows at The Ridge Marketplace. Participating businesses included Evviva Trattoria, Confident Med Spa, Eastern Paradise, Tropical Smoothie Café, Sonny’s Tavern, and Waterstone Properties Group. The students worked diligently, and their artwork will remain on display at these locations through the week of September 23rd. The students also enjoyed a special lunch, generously provided by Evviva Trattoria, in recognition of their efforts.
There is still time for Rochester residents to thank the Police Department by putting out a yard sign, decorating with blue bows, or displaying blue lights in anticipation of National Thank a Police Officer Day on Saturday, September 21, 2024.
The “Thank a Rochester Cop” committee would like to recognize Profile Bank for generously underwriting this year’s activities once again. For a list of other major sponsors and more information, please visit www.thankarc.com or follow them on Facebook at facebook.com/ThankARochesterCop.
