Volunteers of the Rochester Pride committee invite the LGBTQIA+ community and allies to downtown Rochester for a free public pride celebration on Saturday, August 26th, from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm, on Hanson Street, in downtown Rochester.
Rochester Pride’s mission is to promote unity, visibility, inclusivity, equality, and a positive image of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender community.
Participating in this year’s Pride Day are community health and advocacy support organizations including SOS, 603Equality, Lovering Health Center, Wentworth Douglass, First Congregational Church, Porters Pub, Freedom Hair Salon, Rochester Opera House, and more!
RiverStones Custom Framing is hosting the 7th annual Seacoast LGBT History Project exhibit featuring the story of UNH’s Gay Student Organization.
There will be a Pet Talent/Fashion Show at 1:30 pm with prizes from Mr. Sippy BBQ and JetPack Comics, and a collaborative art project.
In addition, Fallen Leaf Bistro (for adults) and Bean Me Up Café (for families) are hosting an after-party with discounts and an opportunity to continue the celebration of community.
