The Rochester Public Library is pleased to announce that Kenneth Gloss, owner of Boston’s renowned Brattle Book Shop, will share his expertise on old and rare books during a special event in the Community Room on Wednesday, May 22, from 5:30 to 7:30 pm.
Kenneth Gloss, a well-known rare book specialist and appraiser, will discuss the history of the Brattle Book Shop, which has been around since about 1825. As a second-generation owner, he’ll share stories from his years in the book business and discuss how he evaluates books and manuscripts. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions and get free verbal appraisals of their books.
