The Franklin Gallery at RiverStones Custom Framing, located at 33 N. Main Street in Rochester, is pleased to announce an exhibit showcasing the work of husband-and-wife team Henry and Nancy Grover. The exhibit will be on display from now through the end of September.
An opening reception will be held on Thursday, September 5, from 5:00 to 6:30 p.m., where light refreshments will be served.
Henry and Nancy Grover are known for their unique art created using a fluid paint technique commonly known as “paint pouring.” This method has gained popularity due to the distinctive and original results it produces. Even when using the same colors, canvas, and manipulation techniques, no two paintings created with this method are ever the same.
The Grovers’ artwork is characterized by vibrant, visually striking compositions achieved through a combination of unexpected colors, splashed in various directions on canvases of different shapes and sizes. They primarily work with acrylic paint, occasionally mixing it with water to influence gravity and vary the movement of the paint.
The exhibit can be viewed during RiverStones Custom Framing’s regular business hours: Wednesday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
