The Rochester Public Library Teen Room invites teens aged 12-18 to enjoy a variety of events and activities throughout the month of December.
Upcoming Events:
- Maker Mondays: Drop in every Monday from 2:30 to 4:00 pm for hands-on activities, with a special 3D pen session on the last Monday of the month.
- Elf Interactive Movie Night: Monday, December 9, at 5:00 pm.
- Obnoxious Gingerbread House Decorating: Monday, December 16, at 6:00 pm. All supplies are provided—bring your creativity!
- Monthly Book Group: Monday, December 30, at 6:00 pm. Discuss the latest read and enjoy some refreshments.
Teens are also welcome to drop by during holiday vacation to use the makerspace, play games, solve scavenger hunts, or check out a book or Playaway.
Starting January 1, the Winter Teen Book Challenge kicks off, with raffle prizes to be awarded on April 1.
“These Teen programs are part of the library’s ongoing efforts to engage teens, foster learning, and provide a welcoming space for information, studying, socializing, and reading,” said Amy Lemelin, Teen Librarian. “The Teen Room is always evolving with our teens’ needs in mind.”
